The Cape Neighborhood & Nearby Marina: The home is located within The Cape, one of Horseshoe Bay’s distinctive waterfront neighborhoods. Set along a narrow peninsula on Lake LBJ, The Cape offers a peaceful residential setting surrounded by water while remaining close to the marina, waterfront dining, and many of Horseshoe Bay’s most popular lake experiences. The neighborhood also holds a special place in the early story of Horseshoe Bay. During the community’s original development in the early 1970s, dredging and shoreline shaping created several of the area’s recognizable peninsulas, including the stretch that became known as The Cape, extending behind the Yacht Club. During that same period, developer Wayne Hurd reportedly discovered an old horseshoe while walking the exposed lakebed—an event that inspired the name Horseshoe Bay. The community later incorporated as a city in 2005. Located approximately 0.3 miles from the home, Horseshoe Bay Resort Marina makes it easy to plan a day on Lake LBJ. Rental and excursion options include Sea-Doos, kayaks, paddleboards, drive-yourself and captained pontoon experiences, dockside fishing, and premium Nautique boats for wakeboarding, waterskiing, and wakesurfing. The Marina Ship Store carries swimwear, resort apparel, beach towels, toys, gifts, boating supplies, snacks, beer, wine, and other lake-day essentials. Championship Golf Nearby: Horseshoe Bay is widely known as one of the Texas Hill Country’s premier golf destinations. The resort community is home to three acclaimed Robert Trent Jones Sr. courses—Slick Rock, Ram Rock, and Apple Rock—as well as the members-only Jack Nicklaus Signature course at Summit Rock. Because Villa on The Cape is independently managed and is not a Horseshoe Bay Resort accommodation, access to resort golf courses is not included with your stay and may require a separate resort reservation or club membership. Golfers also have several public and semi-private options within a convenient Hill Country drive, including Legends Golf Course on Lake LBJ, Hidden Falls Golf Club, Delaware Springs Golf Course, and Lighthouse Country Club. The Horseshoe Bay Living Concierge Team can assist with course recommendations, tee-time requests, and golf-related planning based on current availability and access requirements. Nearby, the resort’s Waterfront Beach offers soft sand, lakefront lounging, sand volleyball, and Pirates Cove Playground, a themed play area designed for younger guests. Seasonal refreshments are available from The Shack food truck and other waterfront food-and-beverage outlets. Access to the beach, playground, floating pool, and resort transportation is managed by Horseshoe Bay Resort and may require resort-guest or club-member eligibility. For dining that is open to everyone, Waterfront Bar & Grill welcomes the public for indoor and outdoor lakeside dining, craft cocktails, weekend brunch, and live music. Guests may arrive by car or boat.

Quiet Hours:
Quiet hours are strictly observed from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Outdoor music is not permitted after 10:00 PM, and we kindly ask that outdoor noise be kept to a minimum during these hours.

No Smoking:
Smoking is strictly prohibited anywhere on the property, including all indoor and outdoor areas.

Pet Policy:
One well-behaved dog is welcome with prior approval. Aggressive breeds and puppies under one year of age are not permitted, and cats are not allowed. A signed rental agreement containing the dog’s information must be completed before arrival. A nonrefundable pet fee of $175.39, including tax, applies per stay. Unauthorized pets are subject to a $1,000 penalty.

Property Insurance:
Property Insurance is required for each booking that covers up to $10,000 in accidental damage

Minimum Age Requirement:
The primary guest making the reservation must be at least 25 years old. A guest age 25 or older must also remain at the property throughout the entire stay.

Agreements:
Check-In Form and Rental Agreement are required to be submitted prior to check-in.

ID and Credit Card:
Government issued ID and credit card used for the reservation are required prior to check-in. (The ID and credit card must match the name under which the unit is reserved.) These must be submitted via the Check-In Form. Your room door code will only be activated after all these documents have been submitted

Exterior Security Cameras:
Exterior security cameras are installed around the property for the safety and security of our guests and the home. Cameras do not face inside the residence or monitor any interior living spaces.

Getting around

A personal vehicle is recommended for exploring Horseshoe Bay, Lake LBJ, and the surrounding Texas Hill Country. The area’s scenic roads, restaurants, marinas, golf courses, and local attractions are most easily reached by car.

For shorter trips around Horseshoe Bay, a golf cart can be a fun and convenient option. Golf-cart rentals may be arranged through local provider Bayside Buggies, subject to availability and local driving restrictions. The Horseshoe Bay Living Concierge Team can assist with coordinating golf-cart rentals, private transportation, and other travel needs before or during your stay.

Private parking is available for up to five vehicles, including two spaces in the garage and three in the driveway. Street parking and parking on landscaped or grassy areas are not permitted.
